Eucalyptus Globulus, is easy to use, affordable, and effective so it is in nearly every aromatherapy kit, as well as in many pharmaceutical products such as cough sweets, throat lozenges, and decongestants.

HISTORY: 
Eucalyptus comes from the Greek 'eu'- good/beautiful 'kalypto' - cover/hide due to the thick coverage of flowers these trees produce. If observed carefully, the volatile essential oils from the leaves can be seen covering these trees in a blue haze, hence the appearance of blue forests in Australia, and names of areas such as the Blue Mountains. 
This oil was popular during the first world war as it known to control meningitis and influenza. Known as the 'fever tree' by early Australian settlers for it's ability to calm heat, it has long been a part of Australian first aid kits.

APPLICATION: 
Topical- Apply with carrier oil 

• mix with water and witch-hazel to produce a home made air-freshner
• rub into palms, lightly cover face, avoiding contact, and inhale to clarify mind and open the lungs
• in a massage blend for after sport relaxation 

• produce a cooling effect on the emotions
