Ginger has many uses and is a popular oil for its warm, spicy fragrance which is highly prized in the perfumery industry, as well as its energising, soothing effect on the body in massages.

HISTORY: 
A spice much loved in many cultures, Ginger has been used historically as an aromatic condiment, a stimulant, and a cure for malaria. In ancient healing cultures, the Chinese used it to break up phlegm and strengthen the heart, Indian's used it to combat nausea, and the Greeks used it as an antidote to poisons. Ayurvedic medicine highly prize it for its ability to combat damp in the body, with symptoms such as diarrhoea and rheumatism.

APPLICATION: 
Topical- use with carrier oil

• rub on stomach when feeling unsettled
• rub on extremities to increase heat and support circulation
• add to post-sport massage blends
