HISTORY:
Geranium is a perennial shrub native to the cape and North Provinces of South Africa. This uncommon species is significant to Egyptians thousands of years ago. They used it to improve the beauty and radiance of their skin. It was also used to relieve anxiety and depression, inflammation and other skin problems. The Romans used it to cure diarrhoea and dysentery, due to the antispasmodic action it has. Largely used in Europe for centuries when hormonal fluctuations happened ie. adolescence, menopause, infertility etc.
